Sophie Lekens-Ohata is an artistic and cultural project coordinator, specializing in facilitating collaborations between Europe and Japan. Her academic background in France combines training in Art History (Bachelor’s degree, Université de Lille 3, Lille) and International Business (MBA, Icart, Paris), enriched by the study of several languages. She speaks fluent French, English, and Japanese. With over ten years of experience in Tokyo as a project manager for art galleries (2013-2014) and later at Spiral / Wacoal Art Center (2014-2024), she has developed an expertise in communication and project management within the art sector. She first encountered Cie Gilles Jobin at Spiral / Wacoal Art Center in 2019, where she was responsible for organizing the showing of the immersive virtual reality piece VR_I. She has been in charge of international distribution for Compagnie Gilles Jobin since February 2025.
